KITA Presidency changes...

KITA Steering Committee wishes to inform all KITA stakeholders that Mr. Chai Eng Leng, who was the incumbent KITA President, is no longer with Entegris Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. after a recent internal organization restructuring exercise at Entegris.

Since Entegris Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is currently holding the position of KITA President, this post shall be deputized by the Vice President, who is represented by Mr. YK Sow of Intel, in line with Rule 8 (2) of the KITA constitution which stipulates this process in the absence of the President.

The KITA Steering Committee shall wait for further communication from Entegris Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. to obtain an official position by the company on this matter, in line with the KITA constitution (Rule 7(7) – see below).

KITA Members and stakeholders will be informed of developments on this matter from time to time. For any clarification, you may contact the undersigned or any of the Steering committee members (namely: INTEL, SILTERRA, FUJI, BASF, INFINEON, WAFERGEN).

We would like to put on record our sincere thanks to Mr. EL Chai for his services to KITA during his tenure as President and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

Rule 7(7) - In the event that a Committee Member is unable to complete his term, the company which he represents may appoint a replacement for the balance of his term. If they choose not to, the committee members shall make the decision to fill the vacancy or vacancies based on majority vote to fill the unexpired term as well as the term that it was originally scheduled to fill.


Rule 8(2) The Vice-President shall assist the President in his duties and shall deputize for him during his absence.
