KITA Meeting on Water TOC

In February 2010, some of our KITA members especially the waferfab companies were severely affected by a sudden increase in Total Organic Carbon (TOC) content in the water supply. With fundings from MIDA, a consultant has been engaged by KETTHA (Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water) to conduct a study and propose a design or refurbishment of the Pinang Tunggal water treatment plant (which is the source of treated water supply to KHTP).
This first meeting was held for the consultants to gather data in order to better understand the incident and devise ways to ensure it does not repeat.
