KITA members send first batch of trainees for NCER's NUFET

 

The 1st batch of 26 trainees completed a Gas Control module that ran from 21st to 23rd December 2009. The theoretical classroom session was held at MIMOS and the practical session was conducted at the MOX plant, both in KHTP.

 

NCER's NUFET (Necessary Up-Skilling Training in Front End Technology) is a collaboration between  NCIA (Northern Corridor Implementation Authority) and PSDC (Penang Skills development Centre) to provide Human Capital Skills Enhancement within NCER for the semi-conductor and wafer fabrication industry that include modules for :

  • Gas Controls

  • Vacuum Technology

  • RF Systems

  • Effluent Systems

  • Temperature Controls

 

The target group of trainees are selected residents of NCER, specifically KITA members and OSRAM Optosemiconductors (M) Sdn Bhd as well as NCITES graduates.
