Industry Talk on Corporate Social Responsibility

KITA members are cordially invited to attend an Industry Talk titled ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ by
Ms Shelly Esque, Vice President, Legal and Corporate Affairs and Director of Corporate Affairs, Intel Corporation.

The talk will be held as follows:

  • Date: Wednesday, August 18th 2010

  • Time: 2.30pm to 4.00pm

  • Venue: Intel KM3

Ms Esque will talk about Intel’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) philosophy, focus areas, proof points, best known methods, and pitfalls to avoid in engaging the stakeholders on CSR.

Managing Directors, General Managers, HR Managers, Corporate Affairs Managers, External Affairs Managers, Media Relations / PR personnel, or others who work in CSR, education, media relations, government and community affairs programs are encouraged to attend this talk.

Shelly Esque oversees a staff that manages corporate social responsibility, education, media relations, government and community affairs programs.

Her global team, in more than 30 countries, works to enhance Intel's position as the world's leading technology brand in business and corporate citizenship. Esque joined Intel in 1996 as manager of Public Affairs for the Arizona site. In 2002 she assumed responsibility for Public Affairs in the United States, and in 2004 her role was expanded to include oversight of the worldwide Public Affairs organization as well as Intel's corporate social responsibility functions.

Following the formation of the Corporate Affairs Group in 2006, Esque assumed broader responsibilities including the management of Intel's various education programs around the world.

Esque also serves as president of the Intel Foundation, the primary philanthropic arm of Intel Corporation. The Intel Foundation is focused on programs that advance education and improve communities worldwide by providing funding for national and local grants helping to fuel innovation in classrooms, empower women and underserved youth, and enable Intel employees to serve the needs of their communities.

Esque received her bachelor's degree in communications from Arizona State University's College of Public Programs in 1982.
