KITA BOWLING TOURNAMENT 2010  

RULES & REGULATIONS

 

TEAM COMPOSITION

a)      Each Company is allowed to send a maximum of 2 teams only;

b)      Participating teams must be from a KITA member company, invited guest company or government body.

c)      Each team must have 6 bowlers, and must consist of at least 2 female bowlers to qualify for the Team Event;

d)      Team members must be registered employees of the participating companies or bodies;

e)      There is no restriction on the nationalities of the team members.

 

COMBINATION TEAM

a)      Combined team is allowed to be formed by any two member or guest companies

b)      Formation of combined teams must be on a company to company arrangement;

c)      Combined teams shall be addressed by the joint name of the two companies;

d)      Individuals who wish to join a team from another company must get official consent in writing from his/her company’s management and acknowledgement of acceptance from the company’s management of the other team.

 

TEAM GAME

a)      Each team will be playing a total of 18 games (3 games series will be bowled by each participants);

b)      The total pinfalls (points) will determine the position of the team;

c)      In the event of a tie, the team with the highest number of strikes will be declared as the champion. In case the number of strikes ends up in a tie, then any member of the team with the highest total score will determine the Team Champion;

d)      Game tournament will start at 3:00 pm sharp.

 

INDIVIDUAL HIGH SCORE

a)      High game will be given to the individual top three male and female bowlers. The high game prize will be decided after completion of all the games (3 games of Team Event);

b)      In the event of a tie, bowler with the highest number of strikes from the 3 games will be declared the winner;

c)      Prizes will be given away to the top three individual male and female bowlers.

 

DISQUALIFICATION

a)      Any team found cheating or manipulating scores will be immediately disqualified from the competition.

  

VERIFICATION OF SCORE

a)      It is the responsibility of the Team Representative to verify the correctness and to record the team members score on the official score sheet;

b)      At the end of each game, the recorded scores must be confirmed and signed by the tournament officials;

c)      Score sheet without the signature from the tournament officials will not be accepted unless otherwise decided by the Tournament Panel.

 

COMPLETION OF GAMES

a)      All Team Representatives are requested to submit their team score sheets to Official-In-Charge immediately after completing the final game.

 

SPECIAL NOTE

a)      Bowlers must be properly dressed and bowlers in shorts or singlet will not be permitted to bowl.

b)      Bowlers shall restrict themselves to their specific lanes and exercise consideration for other participants;

c)      Protest involving errors in scoring will only be entertained if such protest is brought to the attention of the Tournament Panel immediately. The Tournament Panel whose decision shall be final will decide any dispute concerning the protest;

d)      All matters arising and not covered in the Tournament Rules will be decided by the Tournament Panel whose decision shall be final;

e)      No bowler shall be allowed to amend the score on the Score Board after the names has been set. Any technical error must be informed to the Tournament Panel and any amendment can only be done by the lane Marshall of “ MEGALANES “;

f)       All bowlers are expected to follow the “Megalanes House Rules as per attached”.

 

REGISTRATION

a)      Team Leaders are requested to register all team members at the Registration Counter at 1:30 pm;

b)      Reserve members can only replace absentees of team member upon confirmation of members in the team, further request for change after tournament has started will not be entertained;

c)      Team Leaders are requested to collect shoes coupons (6 pairs/team), official score sheet (3 pcs/team) and food coupons (6 pcs/team) during registration.

 

REGISTRATION TIME

a)      Check in time is 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm, PLEASE BE PUNCTUAL. Late registration will not be entertained.

 

SELECTION OF BALL AND SHOES  

a)      Selection of balls and shoes must be done by 2:40 pm and placed properly in the lane allocated.

 

WARM UP

a)      5 minutes free throw with pins at 2.45 pm sharp.

 

REFRESHMENT

a)      A bottle of Mineral Water and a KFC/Pizza Hut coupon value of RM10.00 per participant will be distributed to all players and Representatives through their respective Team Representatives.
